As applied researchers at the Creative Technologies Lab, we thrive on engaging with unfamiliar and diverse fields of inquiry. One day we might be working on the conceptual design of a site-specific museum installation, while the next we are exploring methods for documenting world heritage, or even develop a water filter. In doing so, we navigate the intersection of generalist breadth and specialist depth, fully embracing the understanding that true innovation emerges from the interplay of multiple disciplines.

Our location at the Technology-Campus Steinfurt positions us at the core of interdisciplinary collaboration. Within the advanced facilities of FH Münster and alongside the research labs of our colleagues, we are continuously inspired by groundbreaking developments in areas such as computer science, electrical engineering, biomechatronics, chemical-, civil-, mechanical- and environmental-engineering, among others. We are convinced that interdisciplinarity is the key to shaping the future. 1. Prototypes of innovative products: We investigate the evolving digital landscape to transform emerging trends into state-of-the-art media technologies and solutions. Our work emphasizes exceptional user experiences (UX) through intuitive user interfaces (UI) and embodied human-computer interaction (HCI). These endeavors frequently integrate Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, E-Textiles, and Smart Materials to create user-centric, forward-looking products.
   
   
2. Site-specific installations for architectural environments: We explore architectural spaces to design and implement technologically advanced installations and media architectures that convey compelling narratives. These projects are tailored for diverse settings such as exhibitions, museums, visitor centers, showrooms, entrance halls, airports, hotel lounges, parks, and other public or private environments.
