-<card  title="FiberFact" subtitle="02/2026–12/2029" image="{{:research:projects:fiberfact:fiberfact_placeholder-image.png?direct&200|}}" image-cover=true horizontal>FiberFact is a German–Dutch cross-border innovation project in the Interreg Deutschland–Nederland programme, approved with a total funding volume of € 3,131,721 (EFRO/EFRE € 2,192,204.85; NL Ministry of Economic Affairs € 281,854.86; Province of Gelderland € 33,288.88; Province of Overijssel € 154,614.31; MWIKE NRW € 469,758.10). The project addresses a concrete gap in the circular textile economy: the lack of reliable, scalable methods to determine the quantity, type, and origin of recycled fibers in textile products. FiberFact develops and combines physico-chemical measurement procedures with AI-supported data analysis and dedicated markers, and translates these components into a prototype measurement approach that can be used for robust verification. The core context is credibility and compliance: enabling trustworthy certification of recycled textiles, reducing greenwashing risks, and supporting companies in the German–Dutch border region in meeting emerging EU requirements for traceability and recycled-content claims.<br><br>

Based on a social awareness campaign that aims to optimise how nursing as a brand is seen by the society, several concepts for inter-professional higher education are tested out and are being analysed. The project was funded with 50.000 EUR by the Wandelwerk, Center for Quality Assurance and Enhancement of FH Münster. \\  \\ Collaboration with Prof. Christiane Knecht (FH Münster, School of Health) <br><br>+<card title="Nursing meets Design" subtitle="06/2021 – 07/2023" image=":research:projects:nursing_meets_design:img-20230203-wa0002.webp" image-cover=true horizontal>A project that looks into inter-professional teaching and learning opportunities between the fields of design and nursing. This research project asks the question of how the principles of the Emirati majlis could support the development of ideas in a digital world and draw on the global community without losing its distinctive physical aspects. The goal of this project is to develop a proposal for a dynamically generated network of meeting rooms in a virtual environment which can be used globally to discuss future priorities and to prototype a first version. \\  \\ The project costs were funded by the Smithsonian Museum Washington. Collaboration with Prof. Adina Hempel (Zayed University, UAE) and Prof. Zlatan Filipovic (American University of Sharjah, UAE), Avatar design by Jannik Mannefeld (MSD) and Luis Kirchlechner (NTSI-Lab).<br><br>+<card title="The Majlis of the Future" subtitle="02/2022–07/2022" image=":research:projects:majlis-of-the-future:02_majlis_of_the_future.jpg" image-cover=true horizontal> Over the past years the Majlis expanded from a social practice into a space of cultural and intellectual exchange.
