-<card  title="FiberFact" subtitle="02/2026–12/2029" image="{{:research:projects:fiberfact:fiberfact_placeholder-image.png?direct&200|}}" image-cover=true horizontal>FiberFact is a German–Dutch cross-border innovation project in the Interreg Deutschland–Nederland programme, approved with a total funding volume of € 3.131.721,00. The project addresses a concrete gap in the circular textile economy: the lack of reliable, scalable methods to determine the quantity, type, and origin of recycled fibers in textile products. FiberFact develops and combines physico-chemical measurement procedures with AI-supported data analysis and dedicated markers, and translates these components into a prototype measurement approach that can be used for robust verification. The core context is credibility and compliance: enabling trustworthy certification of recycled textiles, reducing greenwashing risks, and supporting companies in the German–Dutch border region in meeting emerging EU requirements for traceability and recycled-content claims.<br><br>
